Powered Campsites
Settle into comfort and convenience at any one of our nine (9) powered campsites, ideal for caravans and campervans. Each site offers easy access to electricity, drinking water, and nearby amenities. Enjoy warm showers, secure boom gate entry, and a peaceful setting close to the lake and playground.
Light your evening campfire in your portable fire pit (or you can bring your own), share stories under the stars, and take a short stroll to the BBQ area for a lakeside meal. Perfect for families or travellers wanting a touch of comfort while staying close to nature. These limited powered sites are popular, so booking early is recommended.
Price*
Our powered campsites are $40.00 per night. Your site fee covers five (5) people and one (1) vehicle. Extra guests are $5.00 per person per night with a maximum eight (8) people per site. Extra vehicles are $7.00 per vehicle per night with a maximum two (2) vehicles per site. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in our secure carpark.

Secure boom gate entry with unique vehicle access code.
Portable campfire pit or you can bring your own (firewood available for purchase at kiosk).
Hot showers available ($1 for 3 minutes – change at the office).
BBQ area with electric BBQs, picnic tables, and seating near the foreshore.
Rubbish disposal bins and daily-cleaned amenities.
Playground nearby – children must be supervised at all times.
Pet-friendly campsites (dogs must be kept on leads at all times, some breed restrictions apply).
Check-in from 10:30am, check-out by 10:00am (early/late options on request).
Kiosk on site with ice, hot food, drinks, firewood, and camping essentials.
CCTV security for peace of mind.
Quiet time after 10:00pm for a restful night by the lake.
Boat trailer parking available on select sites or near the park office (see staff for details).
Drinking water access from taps at the rear of the amenities block ONLY.
Wildlife-friendly park – please observe, don’t feed or disturb native animals.
Good To Know
The 10-amp electrical connection is not suitable for EV charging
The is no water or sullage to our powered campsites
There is no dump point at Lake Lyell Recreation Park. The nearest dump point is located at the Lithgow Showground
There is no camp kitchen at Lake Lyell Recreation Park so you will need to bring your own portable camping kitchen and sink.
Inverter generator types up to 2KVA and under 65dB are permitted (not after 10.00pm)
Firewood is available at the kiosk — no collection from the park or roadsides
For added convenience during your stay, campers can also arrange camping Portaloo hire, ideal for families or longer powered site stays.
